About Beattie - A Family Story

In 1983, Bill Beattie and his brother Jim started a family owned and operated homebuilding company they appropriately named Beattie Homes. To this day the company they built remains on the same sturdy foundation shaped by calloused hands, long hours and above all, customer satisfaction.

Bill Beattie Memorial Endowment Fund

Bill Beattie, President and founder of Beattie Homes, was a highly respected member of the Calgary building community for more than 25 years.

 

Bill was diagnosed in January of 2008 with leukemia and underwent intense treatment. During his treatment, Bill, his family and friends were amazed there was no financial support for basic living needs for patients undergoing treatment for leukemia. After a major fundraiser in March 2008, the family decided to establish a foundation to provide assistance to other patients in need.

 

Unfortunately, we lost Bill in May of 2008 but his philanthropy and kindness will live on through the Bill Beattie Memorial Endowment Fund. Your generous dollars, no matter how little or how big will make a tremendous difference in someone's life as they fight for their life in their battle against leukemia. By your donations, you are helping them by providing them with basic living requirements and letting them focus on their fight.

 

As of April 2009 Beattie Homes has raised over $700,000 and pledged to contribute $500.00 for every home constructed to ensure the fund continues to grow, and those in financial need get the assistance they require.
